February Spotlight 2019
We work with the same individuals daily but we really don’t know much about each other. You will be
very surprised at how much you can learn about someone within thirty minutes. That's how long it
took, to find out that our January Spotlight knows, four languages, has an IT background, is the go-to
person for any facility or car issues and originally found out about the company through Craigslist. A
thirty-minute conversation that was based on Sarfraz Siddiqi’s, experience, perception, and growth.
What is the definition of growth? Some may answer, a pay increase or a change in title but
according to Sarfraz, growth means more responsibility. To some, that sounds crazy but he did not
see the opportunity to grow at his previous employer because he was solely monitoring the area.
That type of job can be perceived as easy money but Sarfraz stated “every day as an opportunity to
perform for the company. It is by the grace of God that I have been given the opportunity to grow
and succeed in my career.”
Two years and fifteen days ago, Sarfraz started with Midwest Goods Inc, as a Security Officer and worked his way into a Security Facility Technician. In his opinion, if you treat the company like it is your home, you will grow a desire to give 110% every day. Coming from an employer that required very little of him, to an organization that utilizes him to his full potential, Sarfraz did not find it challenging to adapt. “Nothing is challenging if you put your all into your daily tasks. Every day is an opportunity to do better and to be proud of your work. The company invested in me and now, the company deserves to get rewarded for their investment”, stated Sarfraz. The company has benefited from Sarfraz's hard work and dedication but the employees have benefited from him as well because of his helpful personality. From helping employees with their cars to bringing in watermelons on a hot summer day and making tea daily for everyone to enjoy. Sarfraz truly treats Midwest Goods Inc. as his home but in reality,we are very lucky to have him a part of our Midwest Family.
