Instructions For Receiving an LTL Pallet Delivery
When receiving an LTL pallet freight carrier delivery, it is important to follow the the guidelines below:
Only sign for the delivery after you have checked to make sure that it has arrived safely and make note of any issues on your delivery receipt.
If your pallet shows any sign of damage truck drivers are able to wait up to 15 minutes while you break the shrink-wrap and inspect individual items for damage and make sure the correct amount of pieces were delivered.
If you notice any damage or have any doubt about any item being damaged or missing you MUST do the following:
- Note clearly on the receipt before signing. Example: "missing 2 pieces", "holes in packaging", "damaged product", etc.
- Keep a copy of your delivery receipt.
- Contact our customer service or sales team within 1 business day to report your findings.
- Take pictures of the damaged items and packaging.
- Keep the damaged packing materials for inspection.
If part or all of your shipment is damaged and you did not note this in any way on the proof of delivery, we CANNOT guarantee any compensation for damages. By signing your name on the delivery receipt without noting any damages, you are stating that you have received your shipment in acceptable condition.
