your back when needed is priceless.” stated Scott Lane. Throughout his 5 years in the Air Force
he enjoyed learning from different cultures, trying new cuisine and traveling. He built
relationships that have flourished over the last 30 years and has been rooted with the

the true meaning of loyalty.
Mario Aparicio

5 years ago it all started with pride and the desire to serve our country, according to Mario
Aparicio, who is currently active in the Army Reserve. That desire has taken him a long way,
from basic training, learning how to handle firearms ,creating long life memories with his unit to
appreciating the little things in life. Mario stated “ appreciate the little things we have in life such
as being with your loved ones and having clean water.” Leaving everything behind made him
appreciate it all on when he returned.
